Jennifer Hudson as Aretha Franklin?! Sounds good. Seems that biopics are the thing to make or be a part of in the last year-or-so. This time J. Hud, the American Idol alumnae is rumored to be in the works of showing movie lovers about R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

The biopic will chronicle the life of Franklin as she endures tumultuous as well as loving relationships, and how they both inspired her approach on music. Although untitled at this point, the film will be coming out of the home of Universal Pictures with Straight Outta Compton producer Scott Bernstein – who acquired the story rights from the Queen of Soul – leading the pack.

The 18-time Grammy award winner was the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. With that being said, I love J. Hud and she can kill a track with her vocals, but is she ready to take on the QUEEN OF SOUL? Let us know in the comments down below.
