During a quick interview with VladTV, Talib Kweli speaks on his verse on Kanye West’s debut album, his new projects and possibilities of a new Black Star album. Even brings us chances of a Reflection Eternal album with Hi-Tek.
“Get Him High” is till this day a fan favorite from Kanye West’s debut album “College Dropout,” Talib Kweli says that he was bothered for a few months after the track was released because it wasn’t mixed well. Talib Kweli explains that Pro Tools was fairly new and when he sent in his vocals, they were placed on the wrong part of the beat. Although he did say that the mistake frustrated him he learned to make peace with it over time.

Being that this interview was recorded before his surprise album “Fuck The Money” was released on Friday, the rapper kept quiet about it and says that he’s focused on working with upcoming artists K’Valentine and NICO IS. When Talb was asked about possible reunions with /black Star and Reflection Eternal, Kweli said that he doesn’t see Black Star dropping new music anytime soon, but he teams up with Mos Def and Hi-Tek multiple times a year.
I Mean yeah he said we cant expect any Black Star Material coming anytime soon but this is coming from the same guy who said he want dropping anything then released a surprise album.
