Small Earthquake Rattles Bernardsville New Jersey.
The U.S Geological Survey says that the magnitude-2.7 quake hit around 3:41 a.m Friday, roughly 2 miles north of Bernardsville at a depth of 31/2 miles. At first the earthquake was reportedly rated at magnitude-2.5. Law enforcement sources say that there has been no reports of damage.

USGS geophysicist Zachary Reeves says that 78 people have reported that they felt this Earthquake. Officials in neighboring Morris County said they also got calls from people in Morristown, Randolph and other areas, CBs2’s Andrea Grymes reported. Zachary Reeves says such small earthquakes usually don’t cause damage but people will usually feel a little bit of shaking on higher floors.
The USGS Says smaller earthquakes are felt in the region every two to three years.
