In a somewhat shocking move, Cordell Broadus, son of Snoop Dogg, has decided to quit football and leave the UCLA team before he ever played a single snap. Broadus was an incoming freshman and one of the more highly rated wide receivers in the country coming out of high school, but apparently he has other ideas for himself.

Reports indicate Cordell never showed up for the start of UCLA’s training camp, which started this past Monday. In fact, he hadn’t even contacted the coaching staff at all. He will remain enrolled in the school itself however.
According to sources close to the situation, it was more than likely a matter of Broadus “wanting to do his own thing,” since his father had always pushed him to play football.
The coaching staff will definitely be disappointed because Broadus was no joke on the field and really could have helped them rather it be this season or next.
We wish Cordell luck on whatever endeavors he winds up getting into.
