Wednesday (August 13) a judge ordered Lil Scrappy to stay away from his baby mama Erica Dixon for a year. The protective order comes after she filed a petition against Scrappy saying she feared for her life and he committed family violence against her.

Erica said in the court documents she wanted the restraining order because Scrappy, “aggressively attempted to attack me and had to be restrained on several occasions. During a scheduled work related filming, the respondent became enraged during a conversation while attempting to attack me and further throwing an object at me.”
The judge granted the order and also gave Erica, temporary custody of their ten year-old daughter Emani. Scrappy will be required to go to “family violence intervention program” within the next few weeks.
This ruling by the judge will most likely affect the custody battle they are going through as well. Erica is requesting full custody of their daughter and a court approve monitor for all visits with Scrappy. She also wants him to have to go through drug and alcohol treatments as well.
Scrappy claims that Emani is fearful of Erica and has lived with him for the past two years. He says, Erica often disrespects him in front of their daughter and refuses to co-parent when she has her.
The court hearing for custody is scheduled for next week. Hopefully this can all be worked out in a peaceful manner for the sake of the child.
