Since the players of the Kansas City Royals have turned “Trap Queen” into their unofficial summer theme, Fetty Wap paid them a visit.
The KC Royals have been playing a game where they work “1738” — the opening lyric to Fetty’s hit — into all their interviews. Anyone who fails gets fined in the clubhouse.
Fetty Wap, who is in Kansas City for a show at the Sprint Center Wednesday, dropped by Kauffmann Stadium on Tuesday evening to meet the team and check out the Royals’ skills wearing royal blue and gold 1738 shirts.
Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain is believed to be the originator of the challenge. He adopted “Trap Queen” as his walk-up song, further demonstrating the team’s affinity for the catchy song.
