In an interview with Montreality, Mike Dean talks rival Kanye West fan sites, reveals how his working relationship with Kanye began, as well as “Black Skinhead” artists’ upcoming album, Swish.

Mike Dean explains to Montreality that Kanye’s people reached out to him. Word got out that he was the producer who worked on Scarface’s album, The Fix; a year later, it was all history.

More than ten years later, Dean is working on Kanye’s album, Swish. While fans tap there fingers in anticipation, we all know that Kanye is not releasing his album until he feels perfection.

“It’s in progress,” Dean admits about the album. “Whenever Kanye says it’s done, it’s done,” and that’s when it will be released.

He also gets asked about the progress of Travi$ Scott’s soon-to-drop project, Rodeo; that’s one album that will be out before Kanye’s. “I’ll be mixing the whole album, producing, co-producing a couple songs,” he explains his role. With that in mind, we should get Rodeo before September’s end. Fingers crossed.
