Ice Cube cast his son O’Shea Jackson to play him in the upcoming film Straight Outta Compton was a brilliant idea. While out in NYC doing promotion for the film, the father and son team commented on how the film has made an impact on their relationship. Hit the jump for more.
When O’Shea Jackson was asked, what was the most interesting thing he learned about his father while making the film, his answer was truly touching. He said, “How much he loved me..” and flashed a quick smile for the camera. In regards to the film, photogs asked Ice Cube if O’Shea made him proud and he responded “Always.” The pair kept it moving signing autographs and taking photos with fans. It’s great to see how much the film could bring them together in such a special way.
