Every year rumors circulate that Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith are getting a divorce. Recently, we reported that there was a $240 million divorce deal in place for the couple and they would spilt at the end of the summer. However, Monday Will addressed the issue on his Facebook page and said it was untrue. Hit the jump for more.
This is such great news, as I was beginning to feel like there was no hope for love or marriage left in the world. Monday, rumors were flying around the internet saying that after 17 years of marriage, the icons for ‘black love’ Will and Jada were really getting divorced this time. Will announced in a Facebook statement saying the rumors were just not true. He said, “Under normal circumstances, I don’t usually respond to foolishness. (Because it’s contagious) But, so many people have extended me their “deepest condolences” that I figured – “What the hell… I can be foolish, too!” So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness… Jada and I are…NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Jada and the couples daughter Willow also chimed in on the rumors via Twitter. Jada co-signed her husband’s statement with the simple tweet, “My king has spoken” while Willow laughed off the rumors saying, “The media thinks my parents are getting divorced like every second hahaha!”
