K. Michelle took to her Instagram to announce to her fans that she will be unable to tour this Fall. Earlier this month she announced a joint tour with rapper Azealia Banks but do to a hectic schedule and having too much on her plate, K.Michelle was forced to cancel. She posted a heart felt message on IG clearing up any speculation someone might have as to why she cancelled. Hit the jump to see what she said.
Upon announcing that her tour will be cancelled, K. Michelle cleared up any rumors before they could start. First she addressed Azealia Banks saying there is not drama between them. She said, “Before the negativity and assumptions from naysayers and media outlets begins, I’d like for everyone to know the truth. First, there is absolutely no drama between me and Azealia.”
She followed up with ticket sales saying, “Secondly, it wasn’t low ticket sales. Due to such an overwhelming response with this tour there have been conversations about adding a second show in various cities.”
She ended her message with an apology and a thank you to her fans promising something brand new for next year. She said, “Above all, my fans mean the world to me and the last thing that I want to do is disappoint. I want to thank all of you for having my back and supporting me throughout the good and the bad. I can’t wait for all of you to see what’s in store and hear this new music! All tickets that have already been purchased will be refunded and I’ll see you guys at the top next year! New album. New tour.”
K.Michelle wasn’t the only one disappointed. This tour would have been Azealia Banks first American tour and she expressed her disappointment on Twitter, but kept a positive attitude. She said, “Hey Kunts ! I just got an email from @kmichelle team and she is unfortunately unavailable this fall so she is canceling our tour,” adding “Unfortunate news as this was my first U.S. tour. But my team will work on an alternative plan to try and keep some of the dates in order !”
