Carli Lloyd’s commitment to soccer should never be questioned. Her fame has grown quite a bit since the U.S Women’s National Team won the World Cup with the help of her amazing hat trick. She’s gotten talk show appearances and a fan accused her of prioritizing that over training and competing with her club team. Lloyd shut the person down but she also got some help from Kobe Bryant.

She had more to via NJ.com:
During an appearance at the Dick’s Sporting Goods’ Sports Matter panel Tuesday, Lloyd said she saw Bryant’s response and intends to reach out to him to thank him for his support.
“I’ll probably shoot him a message,” Lloyd said. “But Kobe’s a great guy. I like him.”
“It’s like of one those things where do you respond, do you not respond?” Lloyd said. “But I’ve remained humble from the minute I started with this team to now. I haven’t changed. I’m the same person, and I’m gonna work twice as hard from this point on to when my career is done in hopefully five years.
“But this is what’s needed to help for women’s soccer, this is what’s needed to help build my future. You know, it’s just having a laugh with some of the people on Twitter, but at the end of the day I know in my heart where I’m at, and I’m continuing on to want to win one more World Cup and more Olympics.”
