Police say a sex-worker that killed a man in Charleston, West Virginia probably saved lives. The man she killed in self-defense was possibly a serial killer. Read more below.
According to police the dead man has been identified as 45-year old Neal Falls. The man is suspected in the disappearances and deaths of at least four prostitutes in the Las Vegas area, as well as six in Ohio. Falls lived near Las Vegas during the time these women disappeared.
Falls and the woman met in the escort section of Backpage.com. The woman recalls the day she met the man in person. She said the showed up at her house with a gun. When she opened the door he said ‘Live or die?’ and proceeded to choke her.
She said, “When he strangled me, I grabbed my rake, and when he laid the gun down to get the rake out of my hands, I shot him,” adding,”I grabbed the gun and shot behind me.”
Authorities claim she could have possibly be heroic. Police uncovered a collection of handcuffs, knives, axes, a sledgehammer, a bulletproof vest, another gun, shovels, bleach and other cleaning supplies in the trunk of the man’s car.
Charleston Chief of Deceives said. “Based on the items this man had in his possession, it’s hard to imagine this was only going to be a one-time event for him” he continued, “It’s likely that Mr. Falls is a serial killer.”
Falls was also found with a list of 10 women’s name. Police contacted them and all ten were still alive. The women will not be charged in the shooting, police say she was acting in self-defense.
