I got pretty hot in Vegas today. So hot that a fire erupted on the Bamboo pool deck at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
The start of the fire has yet to be confirmed. There was two victims that were injured from the fire. One was transported to the hospital. The other has a minor injury that has been evaluated from the scene. Their names have not been released or just how severe their injuries are.
Sondra Baker, Assistant Clark County Fire Chief wrote in an email,
“There may have been a smoke inhalation injury. There is a report that the fire has been put out and crews are handling smoke evacuation and checking for any extension to the building.”
At 1:00pm the fire was extinguished, by 1:30pm people where let back into the casino. The Harmon, which is the pool is closed as a result of the fire. But the south bound lanes from Las Vegas Boulevard have been re-opened from the Flamingo to Tropicana for traffic.
As of now it is just a clean up and investigation of how this fire was started. Please stay tuned for the updates of the fire.
