All of Tyrese’s online campaigning paid off, on Thursday July 9th Lee Daniels took to his Instagram to announce Tyrese would be joining the cast of Empire for season two! Fans have been also requesting for a sort of Baby Boy reunion between Taraji P. Henson and Tyrese on Empire since the show began. Daniels has finally obliged. The news of Tyrese joining Empire comes just days after Kelly Rowland was announced as being cast as Lucious Lyon’s mother. Also, Oscar award winning actress Marisa Tomei was added to the cast. She will play Mimi Whiteman, a Forbes list billionaire who loves hip hop, fashion and beautiful women, who becomes involved with the Lyons family drama according to Fox.Given the success of season 1, Empire is going even bigger for its sophomore year. So far, Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, and Adam Rodriguez are set to appear in the new season.
