The day after her stunning appearance at the 2015 BET Awards, Karrueche Tran sat down with Madame Noire – and boy did she drop some bombshells!

Aside from speaking on her current projects, Karrueche revealed that she’s trying hard to step out of the “Chris Brown’s ex” shadow, and she’s [naturally] tired of internet trolls always telling her that she’s copying Rihanna.

On her recent Insta-beef with Breezy:

“He kind of started it. It wasn’t like I just randomly rambled on. He made a comment about an interview that I did, so then that’s when I was like, ‘You know what? uh uh!’ You know, he says something and then his fans, they bring it up, then the media picks it up and then they have this perception of me and it’s like, it’s not like that at all! It’s a little different, so I just had to clear up a few things.”

On worrying about seeing Chris in L.A.:

“You know, we never cross paths, but it gets a little iffy sometimes. But, we make it work so it’s not too uncomfortable or awkward. This weekend, though, I did have security, just because as I’m sure you know, things got a little crazy a few weeks ago.”

Rihanna comparisons:

“I would say the negativity – I think – would be the hardest thing, just because it’s always thrown at me, regardless of what I do. Like yesterday I went to the BET Awards and I had a silver wig, and they’re like, ‘OMG, Rihanna did that first! You suck!’ I’m like, okay! It’s like, if I cough, they’re like, ‘OMG, Rihanna coughed and you coughed!’ Like, come on! You know what I mean? People look for the negative in everything and it sucks because I’m trying to build a career and do my own thing and it’s like, I just have these people waiting for something to happen or waiting just for that moment to just roast me. But you got to grow a tough skin.”
