R&B divas K.Michelle and Tamar Braxton are finally squashing their beef and will be teaming up to perform at the 2015 BET Awards. The two have been beefing on social media since 2013 but according to Tamar the woman are ready to patch things up. Hit the jump to find out what Tamar had to say about their upcoming performance.
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight Tamar Braxton dished about her upcoming performance with long time rival K.Michelle. The Love and War singer told ET that the two have ended their drama and will be sealing the deal by their performance on the BET stage.
She said, “I’m doing a very special performance with myself and K. Michelle, who — in the past, you know, we’ve both had a lot of disagreements just about, I guess life in general.”
The singer admitted that the to have never met each other and is excited about meeting her. She said,
“This is actually the first time we will be meeting each other,” she added “I’m just really excited because I’m really about girls sticking up for each other and being there for each other, and it’s just time for all the nonsense to stop. Let’s just empower each other and be great!”
A major part of their feud stemmed from K.Michelle publicly calling Tamar a muppet on Twitter. Braxton revealed on her day time TV show how much it hurt her saying,”A particular person started saying that I look like a Muppet,” she said. “People say it so much I was starting to believe it.”
Now that the two are ready to squash their beef Braxton added, “With the whole women empowerment and everyone coming together, and everyone coming from a place where you know each other, we all can understand each other.”
Great job ladies, it’s about time. Now we can all look forward to a great performance by the pair. The BET Awards airs on Sunday.
