On the night of the NBA Draft, you would expect to see plenty of very tall young men looking to hear their name called and officially become part of the NBA. Everyone is just in a festive mood and enjoying themselves that sometimes things, or in this case people, can slide through the cracks. When your 6’10 you usually don’t go unnoticed, but here we have sports blogger/writer, Connor Toole, who was both very noticed and unnoticed depending on how you look at it as he snuck into the NBA Draft and lived like a future star for one night.

No, the 6’10” writer wasn’t actually selected in Thursday’s NBA draft. But between his suit and height, he certainly fooled fans standing outside Barclays Center—and the arena’s security.
Yes, he got onto the floor of the draft. Because, as he said, “It turns out if you wear a suit, act really confident and are also 7 feet tall, it’s really easy.”
Toole was outside the Barclays Center for a while, shaking hands and taking pictures with fans who thought he was a college basketball player about to become pro. Joke was on them as he is actually a blogger like myself, for the site EliteDaily.com. Toole stepped it up a notch by actually walking into the draft and being down on the floor with the rest of the players.
Not only did he walk right past security, he partied, drank, met a few attractive ladies, and didn’t spend a penny on any of it because people thought he was part of the draft as well. This was pretty epic and if I was a few inches taller I would have loved to try this myself. Kudos to you Connor
