Looks like Screech wasn’t saved by the bell but instead sentenced by the gavel.
Dustin Diamond aka Screech from 90’s hit TV show “Saved by the Bell” was setneced to serve 4 months in jail for his part in a barroom stabbing in Wisconsin. Judge Paul Malloy also handed Screech 15 months probation and ordered the actor to begin his jail sentencing on Sunday. Also Diamond earlier in the month was convicted on two misdemeanor counts that went all the way back to last Christmas which happened to be another barroom fight.
Diamond did not comment as he left the courtroom , but he was also cleared of a felony charge he received last month after which took a 3 day trial in which the jury concluded that he was found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.
He stated to the jury that he took out a knife to try and ward off people, including a woman who had assaulted his girlfriend. He then said that he “accidentally” stabbed a man during the altercation. He also began to apologize by saying ” I sincerely apologize to everyone involved, This was the single most terrifying experience of my life .. This is all i’ve been able to think about for the last six months”.
