The Golden State Warriors were all smiles on Tuesday night after they won the NBA Championship defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers. Unfortunately for LeBron James, despite his valiant effort, what most people will remember is him declaring himself as the “best player in the world” right before losing the NBA Finals. Following the game, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry did a joint postgame press conference where Klay threw a not so subtle shot at the King.
While sitting next to Stephen Curry and the Larry O’Brien Trophy, Thompson said, “It just feels good to say we’re the best team in the world with the best player [in] the world.”
