It’s been a busy year for Big Sean. The “IDFWU” emcee had great deal of success with his most recent album Dark Sky Paradise and he’s become consistent with his sneaker ventures. Even after cutting off his ex Ariana Grande, Sean’s not dwelling on the past. Instead, he’s thinking about the next major move in his career. The Detroit rapper is set to contribute to one of the greatest franchises in film history. Find out how he feels about appearing on the soundtrack for Terminator: Genisys after the jump!
Big Sean isn’t launching a career in film… yet. However, he is getting his first taste of Hollywood by putting in work on the soundtrack for the upcoming film Terminator: Genisys. In “Fighting Shadows,” Sean collaborated with Chinese pop star Jane Zhang, who’s a former contestant on China’s singing competition show, “Super Girl.” This will be Sean’s debut soundtrack feature.
“I have been a huge fan of Arnold and the Terminator movies since I was a kid, so it’s especially exciting to be a part of the new film,” said the rapper. “Working with Jane has been an amazing experience and I can’t wait for audiences around the world to hear her song.”
The song will be available on iTunes June 30th. Along with contributing the audio contribution to the film, Big Sean is currently on a global tour to promote his new album Dark Sky Paradise. Catch the song in the fifth sequel of the Terminator series Terminator: Genisys in theaters July 1st.
