The XXL Freshmen Class List was just released and it featured Fetty Wap, K Camp, and Dej Loaf, along with a few others. Chanel West Coast is a host on MTV’s Ridiculousness, but also an artist under YMCMB. Apparently, she didn’t agree with the list and came at XXL for leaving her out.
Chanel West Coast has been signed to Young Money since 2012 and despite the labels prominence, she has been unable to create the right buzz surrounding her music. She confirmed that she has been in the studio working on her debut album, which is scheduled for release this year.
XXL posted a picture of their freshmen cover on Instagram and Chanel wasted no time expressing her thoughts in the comments. She claimed the she deserved to be on the list and the magazine has been sleeping on her music. Chanel also voiced her frustrations about not being taken serious as an artist because she is on TV, and stated that she can rap better than some people that made the list.
