Yesterday afternoon, Meek Mill returned to the Philadelphia neighborhood he grew up in to shoot a music video. Unfortunately – as we’ve come to learn with incidents like the recent passing of Chinx – it’s not the greatest idea to go back to the hood when you have too much to lose, no matter how much you want to show them love.

“Doing it for the city!” Meek said while posing on the block. “Positive state of mind!” It didn’t take long for things to get less-than-positive, though.

At some point, an argument began amongst the crowd of large people that gathered, and at one point, a man was slapped in the face with a pistol. Meek was able to break up the commotion, though, and the rest of the shoot continued without incident. Video below.
