Around 9:30 a.m. in the Lincoln Tunnel, a New Jersey Transit bus hit the back of a bus operated by a private company, injuring 30+ individuals, says Joe Pentangelo with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The incident happened in the center tube on the New York City side of the tunnel.

A NJ Transit bus from Cresskill to New York City was carrying at least 60 passengers, 26 of which were students traveling from Canada on a graduation trip, rear-ended another bus. At least four of the injured were more serious, suffering neck and back injuries. After being struck, a 32-year-old woman went into labor. She was taken to a hospital.

The Fire Department of New York says none of the injuries are considered life-threatening.

Although it was a slow travel going through the Lincoln Tunnel, lanes began to open up around noon.
