Recently, a video of a Hooter’s employee surfaced and it showed her freely dropping N-bombs in the face of one customer. The customer recorded the woman after seeing her argue with some other black customers and questioned her about it and she spit on him. Surprisingly, the woman was arrested and charged with assault. Whether in person or on video, I think we all have experienced this type of disrespect in one way or another. Maybe not to the extent of an employee getting that crazy and bold to drop N-bombs in your face; but, nonetheless, some type of racial disrespect. This is what happened to a man in a Hooter’s parking lot when he was spit on a called a n*gger. SMH. In 2015.
The surprising thing about this video, though, is the man who recorded the video actually is not facing any charges. I wonder what would have happened if he did not have a video recording? The man, Jermarro Dentlzer, could be seen retaliating in the video after the woman spit on him and I’m just surprised that the police did not attempt to take action against him. In the clip, he retaliation is seen for a short second.
The Altercation…
The police department definitely got it right in this instance and I’m glad they did. From the outside looking in, this story had so much potential to go the other way but it looks like karma was at work. Its unfortunate that we have to consider the fact that the story could have gone in another direction but with the way things work today in 2015, you just never know!
