Deandre Jordan is a looming free agent and many teams are going to be willing to pay top money for a 7′ footer who is one of the best athletic rebounder and defenders in the league. It seems as the Dallas Mavericks are one of those teams as it is being reported that the Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers are working on a sign-and-trade that includes the big-man.
It is being reported that the Clippers and Mavericks are discussing a sign-and-trade that will send Jordan to the Mavericks with the Clippers receiving former Knicks Tyson Chandler ad Raymond Felton.
While it’s still not out of the equation that the Clippers just sign Jordan to a max deal, but the Clippers appear to be looking at all their options because they still have holes on the roster– mainly on the bench.
While the swap docent look ideal for the Clippers, they’d save money because both Chandler and Felton would demand much less then the perennial All-star Deandre Jordan.
