Paul George, who is still recovering from a calf injury he suffered in one of the final games of this past season, joined Colts Punter, Pat McAfee, in delivering the green flag that indicates the Indy 500 has started. Click more to check out the full story!

Unfortunately, Paul George only played in a few games toward the end of this season after he suffered a broken leg during last summer’s international basketball tournament. He came back just in time to help give his team a lift they needed to secure a playoff spot; but unfortunately, the Pacers were out played by the Celtics and the Nets and just missed securing a position in the playoffs.

Currently rehabbing an injured calf, Paul George was selected to represent the Pacers at the classic Indy 500 that is taking place today. George was joined by Indiana Colts Punter, Pat McAfee, as well as a 14 year old diabetes patient. The group would be responsible for bringing a key piece to the Indy 500.

Together, the group flew into the Indy 500 via helicopter with a special item with them. Paul George and company delivered the green race flag that indicates the start of the Indy 500. A pretty important piece in today’s events.
