The mother of Ben Stiller (Anne Meara) passes away at 85 this Memorial Day Weekend. She too is a well known comedian along with husband Jerry Stiller. The cause of death has not been mentioned but Ben Stiller and the rest of the family made a statement in regards to his beloved mother. First reported by the AP the death shocks and stunned the world as we lose not only comedic icon but a mother and wife to the Stiller men.
Known for co hosting in the comedy duo with husband Jerry Stiller , being married for 61 years. Anne Meara and husband would perform on the famous hit show The Ed Sullivan Show. In fact these two were just about on every show in the 1960’s. Always keeping up with the times hopping around from shows like Archie Bunker And Rhoda.
Even in the most recent of years Meara was seen inn Sex in the City , the world loved and adored her. Winning a Writers Guid Award for the move “The Other Woman” there wasn’t a thing this woman could not do. Jerry Stiller who is still a star on the hit show The King of Queens and has had his wife come on the show plenty of times.
