Shake that booty … turn it around … back that a** up and wind on down! Lol, I am feeling it. Go, Go … I’m feeling it.
But, we all know that Rihanna can twerk something. Hell, she can twerk everything. So the direction she may be going with her upcoming album – tentatively titled R8 – is no surprise. Rihanna is an island gal. However, after speaking with The FADER, Mixpak Records – Beenie Man and Vybz Kartel’s label – founder Dre Skull, mentions that Rihanna’s “people” have been contacting some dancehall artists to possibly appear on the album.

Yes, you get different vibes from “Four Five Seconds“, “BBHMM” and “American Oxygen“, but to turn that around and bring in another genre would be dope.
While it has not been confirmed that the project will be mostly dancehall, Dre Skull mentions, “I know firsthand and secondhand that she’s been reaching out to a lot of people in the dancehall world.” He adds, “I’m not suggesting it’s gonna be [a dancehall album] but [her people] are excited about dancehall and to work in that sort of context. They’ve reached out to Popcaan [another Mixpak Records signee], but I’ve talked to a number of people in Jamaica that they’ve reached out to.”
What I’m saying is, DO IT RIRI! DO IT! As a girl from the islands, it is naturally in Rihanna’s blood. We’ve all seen in. To vibe out to a dancehall in the clubs would be life. I’m there for this album.
