Even in controversy, Tom Brady somehow still has a significant impact on the game of football; but this impact is for the good of the game. After the chaos that is still surrounding Tom Brady, the New England Patriots, and deflated footballs, there may be an easy fix to all of this in the future. Click more to read the full story!
If the game could be taken advantage of so easily, especially in a championship game, then there has to be something done to protect the integrity of the game, right? Well, it looks like someone may have the answer to the deflated football issue. A company by the name of Big Game USA is proposing a fix to stopping the act of deflating footballs under the legal limit.
Big Game USA is the leading manufacturer of footballs on the NCAA level and although there have been no reports so far about the NFL taking these same progressive steps in protecting the game, there is a good chance they could adopt the technology to better the league’s game. The simple, yet innovative, technology will notify a ball handler with a coded message once it is at the appropriate psi level.
Although Big Game USA provides footballs for many programs in the NCAA, none of them have reached out to take on the game changing technology. Ironic? Maybe it is still too early for any of the schools to make judgements. The same is going for the NFL as well. Wilson, who makes NFL footballs, has not been reached for a comment on whether they support the technology and want to adopt it into the the league.
Again, maybe it is too early
Currently, the technology is said to be completed for the 2016-17 season(s) so that definitely gives teams more than enough time to process the technology and decide whether or not they will institute it.
