Some of our favorite stars walked the red carpet during the opening ceremony of the 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival held in Cannes, France. The talented John Legend, Charlize Theron, Julianne Moore, Karlie Kloss and many more hit the red carpet, but the woman that stole the show was no other than the ever-so ravishing, Lupita Nyong’o.

Lupita showed off a Gucci one-of-a-kind jade colored chiffon embroidered gown, and killed every stitch of it.

The movie to celebrate during the Cannes Film Festival was Mad Max: Fury Road, starring Charlize Theron, Tom Hardy, Nicholas Hoult and directed by George Miller.

Oscar-winner Charlize takes on the role of Imperator Furiosa – a warrior with a shaved head and prosthetic arm, attempting to rescue a harem of wives held captive by a warlord – in the much anticipated post-apocalyptic film.

“When people first started talking about this film, this loud whisper went around town that George was looking to create a female character that can stand next to Max and carry the journey with him,” she said in a recent interview.
