After investigations revealed that Tom Brady was involved in a scandal that effected the competitiveness of the game, the NFL suspended Brady for the first four games of the 2015 season without pay. It was speculated that Brady could receive anywhere from 1 to 2 games for his involvement in the under-inflated footballs used during the AFC Championship game vs. The Indianapolis Colts.
In addition to Tom Brady’s suspension, the Patriots were fined $1 million dollars and lost a 2016 1st round draft pick and a 2017 4th round pick. The NFL has sent a loud message to the entire league that the integrity of the game will not be tolerated.
Tom Brady has the right to appeal this suspension.
