Floyd Mayweather may have solidified himself as the most competitive athlete of our time; with claims by Ricky Hatton that he tried to race his private jet.
Mayweather fought Ricky Hatton in 2007 back when they both were undefeated,
38-0 for Hatton and 43-0 for Mayweather. Mayweather won the fight in the 10th round by a technical knockout.
Ricky Hatton has since retired and is focusing on telling stories from his eventful boxing career. In his latest book, “Ricky Hatton’s Vegas Tales” tells a story about Mayweather’s extreme competitiveness.
According to Hatton, both him and Mayweather were flying out of Michigan to New York to prepare for the fight. Mayweather was so determined to beat Hatton to their destination that he commanded the pilot of his private jet to do whatever he could to overtake their flight.
I’ve heard of being an intense competitor but if these accusations are factual Floyd Mayweather has taken competitiveness to the next level.
