The sound of gunfire could be heard Sunday, in the South Ward section of Newark; as the Newark Knights motorcycle club gathered for it’s annual Mother’s Day Blessing event. Authorities say one person is dead, and at least three are wounded.
The reason for this shooting, during the gathering, is unknown; and an investigation is under way. The wounded victims have been taken to local hospitals, but the public hasn’t been given an update on their condition. The Newark Knights hold the event to celebrate the start of the riding season.
Let’s not do this all summer!
