The principal of a Florida high school was suspend from her job after being caught earlier in the week in the car with one of her male students. The two were in the car and the principal had her shirt undone and was in possession of marijuana.
The principal Krista Morton was arrested Wednesday on one charge of marijuana possession, less than 20 grams.
The student she was found with was an 18-year old senior. The two were sitting in a parking lot in North Palm Beach. They were caught after police were called with reports of sexual activity.
According to police reports Morton was found in the car with her shirt unbuttoned, “exposing her shoulders and part of her chest.” Officers also found a plastic container of marijuana.
Morton originally stated that, the student in her car was someone she had just met and decided to spend time with on account of loneliness. Both were arrested at the scene and later on the 18-year old told police Morton was his principal.
Neither the principal or student have made statements about the incident but the school did in fact release a statement. They said, “First and foremost is the best interests of the students in the school,” Lauren Hollander, CEO of the school’s management company, told the paper.
