A mom who took her child to Disneyland claims that her son was injured by Pluto at Disneyland and theme park representatives tried to brush the incident under the rug. Watch the video and get more details after the jump.

Eight year-old Ethan was at Disneyland with his family. During the visit the boy spotted the character Pluto in Toontown. The boy wanted to give the dog hug and the he it agreed. After watching the video several times it seems that during the hug, Pluto hyperextends the little boy’s back. As soon as the boy is released he starts crying immediately and saying he’s in pain.

According to Ethan’s mom they were directed to a first aid station but her son was in too much pain to walk. The park had a nurse sent to them and check out the boy. Despite Ethan’s claims that he felt sick in addition to his back hurting the nurse told the mother the boy was fine.

Ethan complained that he wanted to leave the park and go home. His mother requested a wheelchair to get him out of the park because he was in so much pain. The park representatives refused to bring a wheelchair but offered a stroller instead. Ethan could not stand to be in the stroller or walk to the car.

His mother demanded that the park paramedics take Ethan to the hospital for x-rays. After being examined by hospital doctors it was determined that the boy suffered a severe muscle strain.

Ethan’s mother Laurie believes that the park did not want to make a spectacle of the injury and that’s why they refused to bring the wheelchair. She did say however, that a Disney rep showed up at he hospital with dinner and offering to pay the hospital bill. The rep said Pluto was disciplined for being rough with the boy.

A Disneyland Resort rep tells said exlcusively to TMZ, “we are in contact with the family and are in the process of gathering the facts.” But they do not believe that reps in the park refused to bring a wheelchair.
