The editor-in-chief of Vogue sat down on the show Late Night With Seth Meyers to talk about all things Met. She gave her stamp of approval on suits and dresses she loved and also dished that she ‘has a very close relationship’ with none other than Kayne West. Check out the video after the jump.
Anna Wintour opened about about her relationship with Kanye West who’s pretty new to the fashion world. She said, “I adore Kanye,” and continued, “The wonderful thing about Kanye is he likes to talk and basically likes to talk about anything sort of like Karl Lagerfeld,” she said.
The fashion icon carried on about West saying, “[Kanye’s] brilliant,” she said. “I like to listen, so we have a very close relationship.”

Every year the theme of the Met Gala changes and this year’s theme was ‘Chinese White Tie.’ Wintour laughed as she explained to Myers what exactly that meant. She said, “White tie with a touch of China, I made it up!”
The chat turned over to a discussion of her favorite looks from the night. Stars, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Dwyane Wade, and Justin Bieber got her stamp of approval.
She even gave George Clooney a pass for not wearing a tie at the end of the night. She said, “First of all, he has Amal [Clooney] on his arm, and he’s George Clooney,” she clarified. “He doesn’t have to wear anything.”
