There’s a massive manhunt happening right now in search of a gunman that shot a plainclothes NYPD cop at 212th street and 104th avenue in Queens Village, NY.

The perpetrator turned towards the MOS, who were still in the unmarked vehicle and discharged a firearm and struck the operator, NYPD seargant in the face. The MOS was removed to Jamaica Medical Center via RMP in critical condition, undergoing operation. The officer was rushed to Jamaica Hospital after having a confrontation with assailant, which resulted in a NYC cop shot in the head. This is the fifth New York City cop shot in the past several months.

Update: The Anti-crime plainclothes officer is the fifth NYPD cop shot in the last 5 months. The Plainclothes cop was in a car with a sergeant when they say a man on the street fiddling with his waistband at about 6:10 p.m according to police sources. When the police officer left his vehicle and approached on foot the suspect drew his gun and fired at him at least three times.
There is a photo of the shooter in the gallery, this shooter was shot multiple times and two of the bullets landed in his head.
The shooting occurred near the intersection of 212 street and 104th ave in the quit middle class neighborhood of Queens Village. Other officers in relation to the victim put there injured colleague in a radio car and rushed him to Jamaica Hospital , where he was hurried into surgery. It has been said by officers that “It doesn’t look good”. The Shot officer was reported to be in critical condition.
The shooter was taken into custody very soon after the situation at his home which was nearby from the were the shooting occurred. The name of the suspect has yet to be released but Police sources said that he had a pretty hefty police record prior to this one , which included 10 arrests. Robbery, grand larceny and criminal possession of a weapon.
