A 27 year old teacher at a New Jersey charter school was shot and killed in front of her home on Friday. She was murdered in front of a police officer she flagged over while arguing with the father of her child. Read more about this after the jump.
Friday evening at around 10 p.m, Latrena May was arguing with the father of her child, Andre Higgs, in front of her home. She lived in East Orange and was also a teacher Pride Academy.
When she flagged the officer down, Higgs then shot May. That is when the officer shot Higgs.
Higgs was then taken to the hospital, where he was arrested and charged with murder and weapon possession. The reason of the argument is unknown, as well as the age of their child.
