A young boy pulled a girl’s hair and gets his grandfather shot by her father in Long Island. Read more on the story after the jump!
The man who shot the grandfather was named Anthony Franklin, 28, and he was charged with second degree assault for shooting him in North Amityville, Long Island, after Franklin’s daughter claimed the other man’s son pulled her hair, cops said.
Officials said that the shooting took place in front of his victim’s home. Police said Franklin heard that his daughter’s classmate had yanked her hair during a bus ride to school. Franklin then went over to the home of the boy he thought was responsible for pulling her hair, and he exchanged words with Wilson McWilliams, the child’s grandfather.
During the argument, Franklin pulled a gun and shot McWilliams twice, cops said. McWilliams was taken by a police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
