Florida Republicans love Pitbull! Florida Governor Rick Scott recently named January 15th, Pitbull Day, and gave him the keys to Miami. “Mr. Worldwide” lives up to his name, and has done a good job of making music that can be enjoyed by a wide range of demographics. So, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Presidential candidate, and former Florida Governor, Jeb Bush told TMZ that he’d want to take Pitbull to a baseball game.
TMZ asked Jeb Bush if he could take anyone, dead or alive, to a baseball game who it would be. His reply was Teddy Roosevelt and Pitbull. Now, Florida is always a key state in Presidential elections and it has a large Latino community. A person with Pitbull’s fanbase could make or break a close race. You may remember the “hanging Chad” incident in Florida, which got Jeb’s brother, George, into office back in 2000. We could have one of those tight, to the wire type of elections in 2016. Actually, both parties have tried to recruit the Cuban rapper in the past; but Pitbull has solidly stated that he will never join a political party. Check out the video below.
