Once we stopped screaming #FreeBoosie, we had to get used to calling him a brand new name! Louisiana native Boosie Badazz, who was originally known as Lil Boosie, came home from his long prison bid and decided to “reinvent himself” more or less. In a recent interview with DJ Smallz, Boosie reveals why he dropped the “Lil” part from his name, claiming it’s because he’s a “boss” and no boss needs to have “little” associated with his name. He also speaks out on being compared to the late emcee Tupac, which some people refer to Boosie as “BooPac” because his music has touched them in ways similar to the legendary rapper.
