Andrew Wiggins is expected to be named the 2015 NBA Rookie of the Year tomorrow, beating out expected contenders such as Chicago Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic and Orlando Magic point guard Elfrid Payton. Wiggins was selected first overall by the Cavaliers then traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Kevin Love deal.

Wiggins went through some ups and downs with his play this season, as most rookies do, but was able to maintain some consistency later in the season, flashing some signs of the all-star status many predicted for Wiggins since he was a star at Kansas.

Wiggin’s averaged 16.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 36.2 minutes while playing in all 82 games this season.

The Timberwolves are expected to pick high in the lottery after finishing with the worst record in the Western conference, but have a solid nucleus of young players, along with Dunk Contest champ Zach LaVine.
