It seems like forever that Wayne’s fans have been waiting for Carter V. With no release date on the horizion, Montreality’s interview with Manny Fresh will have to keep their pallets wet until the album drops.

Montrality couldn’t let him go without getting an update about Carter 5. A lot of Cash Money’s fans want that old thing back and Manny was there to deliver. He had this to say,

“Lil Wayne, you know…we’re still waiting to see what happens with that album. We kind of went back to that original Cash Money feel…what you grew up on, the Mannie Fresh sound you knew Wayne and Manny did.”

He says this album will be more like the first Carter, when the chemistry was spot on. He also shares how one of the most beautiful things about Cash Money is “the story behind it”. Once he began to open up about the how cash money was created by kids who didn’t have anything but a raw love for music, there was no denying that Cash Money in a way is the new face of the American Dream. He says one of the best times was the Cash Money X Rough Riders Tour. “Just to know that dude (DMX) is incredible. He’s a passionate dude…about dogs and music.”

Manny didn’t admit to knowing a release date for the album as he says, “We’re still waiting to see”
The dynamic rapper and producer discussed all things, Manny. He talked about his high school job of working in a fast food restaurant and how that motivated him to be successful. He also dished about his love for cartoons, admitting that unbeknown to most people his favorite character is Racer X. Once he began to talk about cartoons, his passion for them was obvious. So it wasn’t at all surprising when he shared that cartoons are something he and his son bond over. Manny also have his two cents about Kayne West. He admires his passion, thinks he’s an asset to hip hop and thinks hip hop needs more people like him.
