Viola Davis is the star of a new HBO Film and will take on the role of famous abolitionist Harriet Tubman. Want to know more? Tune in after the jump!

The film is produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV and based on the novel “Bound for the Promise Land” by Kate Clifford Larson. The HBO biopic reflects on Tubman’s fights with the Union during the civil war era and her introduction of the Underground Railroad which led many to freedom.
