David Banner, a well known activist in the Hip Hop community, hasn’t been holding any punches in regards to the riots in Baltimore! He’s been tweeting his opinion; and it looks like he agrees with the tactics performed by the youth and united gangs in the area. CNN has been covering the story, constantly reminding us that people are looting, and Banner doesn’t approve of the way the story is being told! Check out the tweets after the Jump!
I must add, the actual purpose of looting is to get items you need from an establishment before you burn it down. Do some abuse this? Yes. I’ll also add that burning down large corporate buildings, like CVS, is a tactic designed to hit wealthy, and power hungry owners in their pockets. Now, do the wrong buildings sometimes get burned down in riots? Yes, but the media will never tell you the method behind the madness. They just make it seem like African American’s are savage thieves, unable to rationalize how they’ve been oppressed for so many centuries. One of Banner’s tweets refers to the letter written by Willie Lynch: Lets Make A Slave. This letter basically told white’s how to do what they’ve successfully done; which is oppress blacks, brain wash them, and ruin the family structure. Ruining the family structure has negative consequences for generations, because the same ideas, paradigms and mindsets are passed down to each generation.
The slave masters were taught to use fear to keep black men in line. They did this by beating them publicly, killing them publicly, and humiliating them publicly. Today we see the media and police working together to beat black men publicly, kill black men publicly, and humiliate black men publicly. David Banner knows this is no coincidence.
