Drug smuggling Bronx man caught after airport workers found leak in bag.
This past weekend, Officials say, Kelvin Smith, 55, from the Bronx faces multiple drug chargers after authorities at LaGuardia Airport discovered 18 pounds of pot and crack cocaine in his checked bags. Airport workers notice the leaky suitcase and immediately told Port Authority, who smelled marijuana and found drugs.
To make matters worst the 55- year- old had another bag that contained more weed and 2.8 ounces of crack cocaine
Smith was busted while waiting at a U.S. Airway gate LaGuardia Airport.
The Bronx man was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance and has been convicted 41 times before for drug offense.
