Bruce Jenner was the one who nearly broke the Internet last night. The gold medal-winning Olympic athlete detailed his as a transgender and identifying as a woman in an exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC. While he sat down with both sets of families to watch and discuss the interview, there were others that expressed their opinions as well. Khloe, Kourtney, Kylie and Kendall all claimed Jenner as their “hero,” and so did Kim. However, Kim’s love and acceptance was only fueled by none other than her husband Kanye West. During his interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer last night (Apr 24), four of his six biological children from his three marriages spoke about their father being transgender. While his last two daughters, Kylie and Kendall, did not appear on the show, they still expressed their love and acceptance of his transition on Twitter. Bruce Jenner also claimed that Kanye West was the one who helped Kim Kardashian eventually accept Jenner’s transition and became the easiest one to talk to about it. The 65-year-old said that Kanye spoke with his wife about the situation and put everything in the right perspective for her.
“Kim told me a story,” Jenner told Sawyer. “She goes, ‘you know what really turned me around on thinking about this?’ I said, ‘what?’ She goes, ‘Kanye.’ I went, oh, okay. They were talking about it. And he says to Kim, ‘Look, I can be married to the most beautiful woman in the world. And I am. I can have the most beautiful little daughter in the world. I have that. But I’m nothing if I can’t be me. If I can’t be true to myself. They don’t mean anything.’
“Since then, Kimberly has Been by far the most accepting,” Jenner added. “And the easiest to talk to about it.”
None of his stepchildren nor his ex-wife Kris Jenner were featured in the interview, but they did embrace his courage and defended him agains the haters on Twitter. But not everyone was as accepting of the situation. Kim’s ex-husband Kris Humphries took to Twitter to express his feelings about cutting ties with the Kardashians during the interview, but later apologized.
