Canadians and more specifically people from Toronto are clearly no fans of Paul Pierce, especially after what he said about their beloved franchise. Pierce recently said Toronto was a decent team, but they just didn’t have “it”. Now “it” could have been many things, but either way it was not a compliment, and Raptors GM Masai Ujiri responded accordingly, cursing Pierce’s name before the series and being fined for it. Drake is the Raptors “team ambassador” and it seems some people are upset with Drizzy showing Pierce some love.

Drake gave Pierce a dap as he walked off the court but Raptors fans, and more specifically some political fans took shots at Drizzy for showing the enemy some love.
Why would Drake, the Raptors global ambassador, be so friendly with the Wizards star who has become public enemy No. 1 in Toronto?
Prior to the series, Pierce cut the Raptors with a derogatory comment, saying Toronto didn’t have the “it” factor to succeed in the playoffs.
It is, of course, a matter of interpretation.
Does “it” mean being able to win on home court? Does “it” mean being able to match or exceed the opposing team’s intensity? If that’s the case, Pierce was probably right.
Whatever the case, Pierce was mercilessly booed in Games 1 and 2 by fans at the Air Canada Centre. By everyone but Drake that is, so it seems.
And as if that wasn’t enough. Pierce said he really wants to sweep the Raptors so he doesn’t have to go through customs again.
Meanwhile, Norm Kelly, a Toronto city councillor, called out the rapper and Raptors’ global ambassador for the controversial photo.
You gotta love the fact a politician called out a rapper for basically being P.C. and showing Pierce respect instead of ignoring him. However Kelly was far from the only person upset about the move. They love their team! Check the gallery!
