Can things get any worse for Cash Money? Yes it can, The Lawsuit between Wayne & Birdman took everyone by surprise when it was first announced a couple months ago now to add more fuel to the fire Cash Money owes some people about $117,000 in royalties. The problem is that this part of the lawsuit has to do with a couple of Drake’s songs.

Music company MFMNG Productions claims they had an agreement with Cash Money on royalties that pertained to Drake’s music and its sales. Musician Cedric Hall allegedly licensed two songs to Cash Money that were at the time sampled to Drake’s Take Care album, the tracks that were sampled are “Over My Dead Body” And the hit H.Y.F.R (Hell Yeah F*cking Right). This dispute stated that Cash Money was to pay 2.5% – 10% of these song’s sales to the company. The album sold about 2.5 Million copies and Cash Money saw a good chunk of money from that also MFMNG Productions reached out multiple times to the label in which they were ignored and never received a response to any of their requests.

Since Cash Money has not payed any type of money in royalties to the company that leads to a breach in the contract agreement which has led Cash Money into some quick sand probably more then thought they were in. Is it bad luck? Sounds more like bad business to me.
