BET calls on Kelly Rowland for her own music-driven series, Chasing Destiny (Am I the only one who immediately thought of Eric Jerome Dickey?). Chasing Desting, “a multiplatform search for the next blazing hot singing sensation” will bring together all women who will have to meet Rowland’s “standards of excellence.” Hmm, some pretty big shoes to fill.

“Excited to launch my new show,” the lovely lady says on Twitter. I’m sure there are just as many excited viewers. Go Kelly, go Kelly, GO!

Rowland isn’t the only singer with a show coming. Also on BET, Zoe Moon with Brandy. The scripted television show is a romantic comedy centered around Zoe Moon [Brandy], “a newly divorced single mom embarking on her new life and career as a fledgling cosmetics mogul — but …”

Her ex-husband is not ready to take a back seat in her life, nor is her precocious 10 year-old son ready for her new dating life.

Then there is, The Label. “From the storied beginnings to its current standing,” the show will chronicle record labels new and old as well as executives and artists.

Hmm, interesting! Maybe I will watch … all of them.
